What Should The Eagles Do With The Saints Pick?

How did we get it?: During the 2022 draft Howie made an amazing trade with the saints, he traded the 16th pick, the 19th pick, and the 194th pick for the Saint's first third, and seventh from that draft. We also acquired their first-round pick for the next season and a second for 2024. While at the time this seemed like a decent trade, Howie saw that the Saints were not going to be good and gambled on that idea. This turned out to be an amazing trade because the Saints are really bad this year and the pick is a very high pick. This pick will let the Eagles either add more young talent or trade it for a for sure player. Where will the pick land?: The Saints pick as it stands will be a top 5 pick. With a top 5 pick, the Eagles can do so much with that. That early on in the draft, there is crazy talent and it will hard for the Eagles to mess it up. If I was the Eagles, I would draft for the defensive side of the ball. Some of the defensive prospects are Will Anderson, Jalen Carter, and Myles Murphy. All of the players are generational talents and will have an impact on the Eagles right away, they just have to hope they fall to them at 5. Who Will They Pick?: You will probably see the two top quarterbacks come off the board with the top 2 picks, they are Bryce Young and CJ Stroud. That means the next two teams might be the bears and the lions. They are projected to both go defense. The bears are in the best spot right now and will have the option of all three. Right now, it is projected that they will take Will Anderson and it is also projected that the lions will take Jalen Carter. This will leave the Eagles with Myles Murphy from Clemson. While he is not as good as the other two, he is a very good player that plays a position of need for the Eagles. Whoever falls to the Eagles, we should be extremely happy with the player that we get.
