The Eagles are Finally Getting Healthy
Who is Coming Back This Week?: This week, Nick Sirianni came out and said that CJ Gardener-Johnson and Robert Quinn are going to practice this week and have a good chance of returning to play. This is huge for the team depth-wise and talent-wise. CJ Gardener-Johnson is a huge piece coming back to the secondary. CJ still leads the entire NFL in picks despite only playing 12 weeks of the season. He will add back so much of what the team was missing over the top against the passing game. Robert Quinn will add needed depth to the D-Line where the team could possibly be missing Josh Sweat this week.
Who is going to possibly come back soon?: During Nick Sirianni's press conference today, he also stated that Jalen Hurts is day-day. This is very promising news and could very well mean that he will play on Sunday. He also stated that he hopes to have Lane Johnson and Avonte Maddox back for the playoffs. That exact reason is why it would be huge if Hurts could play this week. If Hurts plays, we have a much better chance at winning against the Giants and securing the one seed than if he does not play. If we lock up the one seed, that just gives the injured players another week to heal. Another player that might come back and is day to day, is Josh Sweat. He got hurt last week in the game against the Saints and was carted off. Even though all of that happened, it is still possible for him to play this week.#Eagles have officially opened the 21-day practice window for safety C. J. Gardner-Johnson, DE Robert Quinn and OL Brett Toth.
