Can Gardner Minshew Get The Win???
How did Hurts get hurt?: While playing Chicago this past Sunday Jalen Hurts ran the ball up the middle when he was tackled by a Chicago defender and slammed to the ground. He stayed down for a couple of seconds but got up and finished the game. He threw some really nice balls and ran for some big runs after the hot and it looked fine. Yesterday a report came out that Jalen Hurts has a sprained shoulder and is questionable for Sunday's game against Dallas. While this has concerned a lot of people, with Dallas losing last week, the Eagles only have to win one more game of the last three to lock up the one seed. With this in mind, it might not be a bad idea to sit Hurts this week just to be sure he is ok and try and win these games without him. This will give him some good rest for the playoffs that he needs and will give the team a chance to prove themselves. With Hurts being probably out, that means Gardner Minshew is going to be starting at quarterback.
Can Minshew Get It Done?: Even though Minshew is our backup quarterback, he is a very good quarterback. When he has had the opportunity to win games in the NFL, he gets it done and wins games. He is probably the best backup quarterback in the league and I am willing to put all my trust in him this week. He has the dog and drives in him that will win this game against the rival Cowboys. He knows the situation, he knows what he has to do, and he will get it done. Don't lose faith in Minshew Mania, he is going to get it done for us.Gardner Minshew started a game for the #Eagles last year when Jalen Hurts was injured.
