Will James Harden Return to Houston?

Rumors are swirling around the Philadelphia 76ers and their superstar guard James Harden. Speculation has been mounting that Harden may be looking to move on from the organization after this season and possibly return to his former team, the Houston Rockets. Harden is currently signed to a two-year, $68,640,000 contract with the Sixers, which is set to expire this summer. As a result, many fans and analysts alike are curious as to what Harden's next move will be. Although it would seem logical for Harden to stay with the Sixers, who he has played well with, especially alongside fellow All-Star Joel Embiid, the recent speculation suggests otherwise. The Sixers are currently a solid team, holding the third spot in the Eastern Conference standings. They have been playing exceptionally well and are expected to make an impact in the playoffs this year. Even if Harden is considering the possibility of leaving the Sixers, it would be unlikely that the player is fully thinking about it at this time. Harden has not addressed these rumors directly, but he did express frustration when asked about his future with the Sixers back in December. However, sources have recently claimed that Harden is “serious about a possible return to Houston as he was when he left town”. The sources are credible, but this does not necessarily mean anything. Many believe that Harden's decision to stay with the organization will depend heavily on how the team performs in the playoffs. However, it is important to note that at this point most is speculation rather than Harden’s word for certain. Only time will tell what Harden decides, and it is safe to say that Sixers fans are hoping that he remains with the team. Harden has been an important asset to the team since his arrival in Philly. He has played an integral role in the team's success thus far and is expected to continue to do so as the playoffs approach. While it is possible that Harden may consider leaving the team after this season, nothing is near being set in stone. The player is focused on what is in front of him right now, as a Sixer. As the season progresses and the playoffs approach, all eyes will be on the Sixers and their star guard to see how they perform on the court and what decisions they make off it.
